Phoebe Torrance is a multifaceted artist working within the film & tv industry. Having studied at the acclaimed RADA, her debut short film grounds, written and directed by Phoebe in 2019, went on to win several awards during the international film Festival season. Currently on the festival circuit Phoebe’s second film fifty-four days; a crucially important short exploring mental health, race, friendship, grief and wild swimming as a form of healing, starring world-renowned actress Celia Imrie, has already won and been placed in over many film festivals around the world; including Oscar and Bafta qualifying festivals and most recently is shown on-board all American airline flights. Recently Phoebe was also the second unit director on the feature film She is Love starring Marisa Abela, Hailey Bennett and Sam Riley, which had a cinematic release and also premiered at the BFI London film festival. Phoebe can also be seen on Netflix’s Friday Night Dinner.
Aside from Phoebe's film career, she is a passionate and long-time advocate for Mental Health Awareness. Phoebe has volunteered and worked closely with the suicide prevention charity papyrus for several years as an official ambassador and trustee.
